Zoe Hale
Zoe Hale is a professional classical and contemporary cellist based in Los Angeles and New York City. She is most recognized for her appearances at the Walt Disney Concert Hall (with Lynn Harrell, Grammy-winning cellist), Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and the Institute of Fine Arts. Her music career has been supported through her education at Pasadena Conservatory of Music, Colburn School, and New York University (mentored by Julian Schwarz).
Zoe premiered, recorded, and performed in New York University's Instrmental Performance and Film Scoring programs from 2019 to 2023. Her work in such institutions demonstrate her expertise in collaberation with artists in film festivals, contemporary composers, and classical musicians in conservatory-level courses.
Zoe is well-versed in contemporary/improvisational music. She regularly performs improvisationally with the music group at the Woodland Hills Presbyterian Church, and she plays in recording sessions with various indie-pop bands and singer/songwriters in Los Angeles.
