Bones Jugs
Bones Jugs is an ensemble that fuses old American musical styles using xylophone and other folk instruments, creating new original music with a nod to traditional jazz and folk genres. The group began as a contemporary jug band, alternating instrumental ragtime xylophone with songs from the jug band repertoire, and has since expanded to showcase music in the likeness of legendary artists such as Bob Wills, Doc Watson, Bill Monroe, Mississippi John Hurt, and and many others.
Bones Jugs is a frenzy of frivolity, a marvel of merriment. It's Frank Zappa meets Spike Jones, it's Looney Tunes meets Nintendo. It’s seriously silly. It's a party. It's for dancing, for listening, for enjoying. It’s for adults. It’s for kids. It’s for everyone. It’s simply loads of fun!
