The Mixed Meta5
The Mixed Meta5 is a dance band. We like people to dance when we play, although if you just want to sit and listen, that's cool too. We can be heard around the metropolitan New York area in bars, parks, museums, shopping malls, theatres and restaurants. We are versatile, we play everything from Italian(a specialty), French and Spanish tunes to reggae, blues and rock and roll. One of our members, Emily Fellner Zeig, also sings opera, so we can mix in some Verdi or Puccini if you wish. We have five pieces in the band: guitar, bass, saxophone, trumpet/accordion and drums. Everybody sings. The members are from all over the country: Brooklyn, California, Connecticut, New York City and South Dakota. The music is from all over the world.
